وقعت وزارة الشؤون السياسية والبرلمانية ومؤسسة فريدريش ايبرت الألمانية مذكرة تفاهم، وذلك  يوم الثلاثاء الموافق   18 تشرين الأول. وتهدف هذه المذكرة إلى تعزيز وتوسيع التعاون بينهما. وسوف تركز الأنشطة المشتركة على اللامركزية، والانتخابات البلدية لعام 2017، المشاركة السياسية للشباب وكذلك بناء القدرات لموظفي الوزارة. ومن جهته، وقع معالي المهندس موسى المعايطة والسيدة آنيا فيلر-تشوك، المديرة المقيمة لمؤسسة فريدريش إيبرت في الأردن والعراق، نيابة عن مؤسساتهم.   وكخطوة أولى في تنفيذ المذكرة، تتعاون الوزارة ومؤسسة فريدريش إيبرت في تنظيم مؤتمر بشأن اللامركزية في ضوء الانتخابات التي من المخطط أن تجري في عام 2017. وسيتم التواصل مع جميع أصحاب المصلحة بهذا الخصوص، وسيتناول هذا المؤتمر تفاصيل النظام الداخلي ووضع استراتيجية شاملة تضمن المشاركة ورفع الوعي ليتم تنفيذها في بداية العام المقبل.   مؤسسة فريدريش إيبرت  هي منظمة غير ربحية ملتزمة بقيم الديمقراطية الاجتماعية، وتعد من أقدم المؤسسات السياسية في ألمانيا. تأسست في عام 1925، كإرث سياسي فريدريش ايبرت لأول رئيس منتخب ديمقراطيا في ألمانيا. وتهدف أنشطة المؤسسة إلى تعزيز الديمقراطية والعدالة الاجتماعية في جميع أنحاء العالم. تنظم مؤسسة فريدريش إيبرت أنشطتها على مواضيع مختلفة مع  وجود أكثر من 90 مكتب حول العالم بدءاً من تشجيع العمل النقابي ودعم حقوق العمال، لتنمية قدرات المجتمع المدني، إلى تعزيز حقوق الإنسان والعديد من القضايا الأخرى. في الأردن، افتتحت المؤسسة مكتبها في عام 1986 من خلال شراكة طويلة الأمد مع الجمعية العلمية الملكية.             Press Release: Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs (MoPPA) and German Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Expand Cooperation The Jordanian Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs (MoPPA) and the German Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, 18 October to strengthen and expand their cooperation. Joint activities will focus on decentralization, the 2017 municipality elections, political participation of youth as well as capacity building for Ministry staff. H.E. Minister Musa Ma’aytah and Anja Wehler-Schoeck, FES Resident Director for Jordan and Iraq, signed the Memorandum on behalf of their respective institutions. As a first step in implementing the Memorandum, the Ministry and FES will cooperate in organizing a conference on decentralization in view of the 2017 elections, which will reach out to all stakeholders, and will address details of the bylaw as well as design a strategy for inclusion, participation and awareness to be executed at the start of the coming year.
